You’re probably not going to like what I’m about to say, so if you’re very sensitive I suggest you navigate away from this page.

So check this out. Our divorce rate is going at 63% right now. That means that 6 out of 10 married couples are getting divorced within 10 years. 10 years. Kids are born within 10 years, and then they have to deal with the stress of choosing sides– which parent they should live with, and which parent should visit on the weekends.

“Til death do us part” is losing its meaning, and we’re all getting jaded.

But here’s what I’m preaching. There is no one and only. There is no single person out there that was specifically made for you and you ONLY– to fall in love with and make a life with.

kissing-point

Humans are adaptable beings. We can get with anyone! We are also sexual beings, and we make mistakes.

HUMANS ARE NOT MEANT TO SPEND THEIR LIFE WITH ONE PERSON AND ONE PERSON ONLY. WE ARE GENETICALLY ENGINEERED TO FAIL.

But that’s the thing. We’re human. The relationships we make have problems. PLENTY OF THEM.

So on the surface, at face value.. we can’t be faithful.

forbidden-kiss

Which is why there are supposed to be 3 people in a relationship.

You, Them, and God.

The ability to remain faithful and to stay in one relationship is what makes us divine. It is through divinity that “til death” is possible, because death is the only real and true separation from our world and the afterlife.

come on Marj!!

And the reason why relationships are failing, is because they are failing to believe that spirituality and religion play a vital role in their success.

How can you give yourself to someone else when you cannot acknowledge that life has been GIVEN to you?

The truth is.. the one and only is the one through which you can MAKE it work. It’s not about connections, interests, hobbies, social status– although those can lead to it..

old-couple

This is why we find the oddest couples getting together and making it work. The hot guy with the plain girl, or the plain guy with the hot girl.
The shy and reserved with the loud and outgoing.
We’re talking about something that’s bigger than what’s superficial.

It’s about how much you are willing to give to each other, and to devote to God.

Through love we get forgiveness, patience, understanding, and faithfulness.

It all goes hand in hand..

Because God is love.
Think about it.

ELEPHANTS ARE MY FAVORITE

Elephant herd are led by females. The numbers can raise from 5 to 1,000 in a herd.

THEY CAN PAINT!! Or be painted on by Banksy. Haha

They can live up to 70 years of age.

come on, timmy!

Like children, elephants must be disciplined by their mothers in order to be an acceptable member of the elephant society. And orphaned elephants are usually males who have chosen to be deliquents.

Elephants can’t jump =(

but they can climb ;]

They have a more sensitive sense of smell than dogs! They have the best sense of smell out of the world’s animals.

They are symbols of luck and prosperity (:

Elephants are also known to learn up to 60 commands!

They’re beautiful, they’re majestic, they’re creative, artistic, they’re massive, and they’re endangered 😦

Big is beautiful :]

MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK MY LAMBO IS BLUE

So I was a part of history today and watched the inauguration. Streaming live from CNN.com were visions of thousands of people crammed together in the frosty D.C. air, while millions were watching and commentating on Aretha’s serious bow on her head, and yoyo-ma’s killa performance.

ooooooh chiiiiiild

To be honest I have never before listened to any presidential inauguration speech, until President Obama. And I must say, his eloquence, ability to connect with people, and genuine personality make him a winner winner chicken dinner in my book, just by that speech alone.

I like the wordplay on emphasizing the word “We.”

Good shit.

“LET NOT YOUR PEOPLE JUDGE YOU ON WHAT YOU CAN DESTROY, BUT WHAT YOU CAN BUILD.”

DASSOURMAN!

$CHOOL OF HARD KNOCK$

“School is a bitch.”
“Fuck school.”

These expressions sound familiar? You’ve either heard it, said it, or thought about saying it. But there’s always this attitude that school is inconvenient and instituted by society as the only real way to make a living in this world.

Yes there are some exceptions– people who got lucky and got successful without having to go through higher education at all.

But for the majority of us, we have to dish out hundreds, thousands of dollars so to pay for a piece of paper that says we completed what society’s standards are for being “intelligent.”

We can bitch about this all we want. But here’s a light I’d like to shine on higher education. Right now, if you haven’t noticed, we’re in an economic crisis. A lot of people can’t get into universities and community colleges because they can’t pay for them. Instead, they’re finding jobs to support their own families and to sustain themselves.

The fact that you’re IN SCHOOL is a gift within itself. Of course it’s fuckin hard! College isn’t for everyone! Otherwise, what kind of worth would your degree have if it was easy?

Which is why you should really analyze what you want out of life, and what career you think suits you. I would hate for you to dish out thousands of dollars for a career that won’t get you anywhere– either financially or emotionally.

Take everything that is given to you as a gift. Even those bullshit classes that are required for your major/program have value. You’re just going to have to find it.

Whatever your path may be, whether higher education, or street smarts, or both.. I wish you the utmost success and satisfaction.

& remember, we sometimes have to work hardest for the things that matter most.
